The Vamps Announce Special Christmas Show For Centrepoint Charity

April 2024 · 3 minute read

With Christmas just around the corner, The Vamps have announced they are getting in on the festive action with a special charity show on 12th December in aid of Centrepoint. Taking place in the intimate surroundings of 229 The venue in London, Christmas has definitely come early for fans of the quartet.

Earlier this month The Vamps finished their Four Corners World Tour in Russia which marked the end of a packed year of touring. The announcement of this show was a welcomed surprise to the fanbase who assumed their show in Russia was set to be their last of the year. The Vamps are no strangers to supporting charities and this isn’t the first time the band have openly supported Centrepoint either. Back in 2016 guitarist James McVey released a duo of t-shirts the profits of which all went to the charity and the support has been ongoing since.

Centrepoint is a charity who provide housing and support for young people across London, Manchester, Yorkshire and the North East. With their aim to give young people a future and back into education, training and employment, and they strive to end youth homelessness. Their services run 365 days a year making sure that everyone who attends one of their centres is able to receive the support they need. They provide 1,107 bed spaces for young homeless people and also run a helpline which offers advice to people aged 16-25 requiring help with homelessness. If you’d like to find out more about Centrepoint and how you can help them provide services to the 10,000 homeless young people they support each year head here.

Back in 2014, The Vamps released a Christmas Edition of their debut album Meet The Vamps which featured their take on some festive classics including Jingle Bell Rock and I Wish It Could Be Christmas Everyday. It also featured two original Christmas tracks; Hoping For Snow and Sleighing In The Snow. What better excuse to perform one or even better both of these tracks live than at this festive show? We’ll be keeping our fingers crossed and hoping they make an appearance on the setlist on the 12th December.

One easy (and fun) way in which you can support Centrepoint is by purchasing a ticket to see The Vamps at their show on 12th December at 229 The Venue, London. What’s better than seeing a great band but also supporting an important charity in the process? You can purchase your tickets from here.
