If Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) and Senate Minority Leader Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.) have their ways, Donald Trump and his team will not get a sneak peek of “Special Counsel Mueller’s findings or evidence.”

Friday, the news that the world had been waiting for finally broke — Robert Mueller and his large team of investigators delivered his confidential report to Attorney General William Barr.

For the past two years, Mueller has been trying to answer the following question: Did the Russian government interfere in the 2016 presidential election on behalf of Trump?

A report surfaced via AP claiming that Trump and his attorneys wanted an “early look at Mueller’s findings before they are made public.”

Schumer and Pelosi issued a joint statement saying: “Attorney General Barr must not give President Trump, his lawyers or his staff any ‘sneak preview’ of Special Counsel Mueller’s findings or evidence.”

The powerful Democrats went on to say: “The White House must not be allowed to interfere in decisions about what parts of those findings or evidence are made public.”

White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said in a statement that the president has not been briefed on the report and added: “The next steps are up to Attorney General Barr, and we look forward to the process taking its course. The White House has not received or been briefed on the Special Counsel’s report.”

Rudy Giuliani, who is part of the president’s legal team, has been making the media rounds to make it clear that they did not request a special preview of Mueller’s report.

The former mayor of New York claimed: “We have not made any request; we have not made any demand. They did it properly, so there is no reason to ask [for] anything other than that. I have no idea what the findings will be, but I am very confident in the facts.”

Giuliani went on to say: “Obviously we are happy that the collusion and obstruction of justice investigations are over. We believe the attorney general will handle it properly and the Justice Department will handle it properly. And when any facts come out, we will we able to respond.”

Many supporters of the 45th president claim the report will say there was no collusion with Russia.
