The inappropriate comments T.I made on a podcast about accompanying his daughter to the gynecologist affected the rapper’s daughter in more than one way. Deyjah Harris got candid about the situation on an episode of Family Hustle.
T.I came under fire when he told the Ladies Like Us podcasters: ‘Not only have we had the conversation — we have yearly trips to the gynecologist to check her hymen. So we’ll go and sit down and the doctor comes and talk, and the doctor’s maintaining a high level of professionalism. He’s like, ‘You know, sir, I have to, in order to share information’ — I’m like, ‘Deyjah, they want you to sign this so we can share information. Is there anything you would not want me to know? See, Doc? Ain’t no problem.’
Social media became enraged and called out the double standard the reality star holds his kids under. While some agreed that it may be a fatherly thing to do, they also said that he shouldn’t talk about it in public.
Deyjah discussed how she reacted when she saw the news trending on social media.

‘I’m scrolling on Twitter and I see I’m tagged in a post and all I see is ‘gynecologist,’ and I didn’t even need to read the whole title. I just knew. My heart sank. I’m very shocked, hurt, angry, embarrassed. I’m embarrassed, for sure. I’m trying to put it in the back of my mind so I’m not really thinking about it. I know it’s not healthy. But I’ve been doing that since I was a child.’
She went on to tell her cousins that she definitely looks at her dad differently because of what happened.
Meanwhile, TIP seemingly brushed it off as a joke that got blown out of proportion.
‘I told a joke that was laced in truth, also [with] a lot of major embellishments. I was speaking past tense. People thought I was speaking present day. I never put a sign on the door—that’s absolutely false.’

He also admitted that he did not want to have a conversation with her about the scandal.
